Our Story
Zöldpart Villa is not just another guesthouse. This cozy, lakeside lodge a place where memories are made and cherished forever. Designed by our family with love, this villa offers the comfort of home, the serenity of a private getaway and the joy of unforgettable moments together. We hope it brings as much happiness and lifelong memories to other families and groups of friends as it has to us.
For our family, this holiday home has meant everything: memorable summers, the warmth of family gatherings, celebrations, winter evenings spent reading by the fireplace, and creating lifelong friendships. Here, we learned to swim, ride a bike, play ping pong, bake traditional Hungarian lángos and even made homemade jams. Some of the little ones even took their very first steps here.
To us, this villa is the Island of Peace. It wasn’t just a vacation home. It was where we escaped from everyday life and where we celebrated life’s milestones. We hosted birthdays, bachelorette parties, intimate family weddings, graduations and so much more.
Whenever we arrived, we took long walks by the lake, had amazing ice cream at the nearby patisserie, cycled around Balaton, skated on the frozen water in winter and held legendary ping pong tournaments. It became a place of family traditions. Every August, my mother and I would lie on the dock, gazing at shooting stars, and in the fall, we’d jump into piles of freshly raked leaves. We’ve experienced fierce storms here, huddled by the fireplace, and blazing summer days, sipping homemade lemonade or cold beer in the shade of the terrace.
Our beloved dog, Paw, grew up in this very yard. This is where he took his first swim, chased runaway balls and playfully ran after ducks. Now an old and wise companion, he watches over sleeping children in the garden, keeps an eye on our ping pong matches and still taps at the door to warn us when the rain is coming.
If happiness could be measured in board games played, books read, late-night conversations, blaring music, empty wine bottles, bursts of laughter and whispered words of love, then I believe we were the happiest family in the world here.
